Welcome to Y2Notion. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Y2Notion, including our website, application, and any related services. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

Y2Notion converts publicly available YouTube video transcripts into AI-generated summaries formatted in Markdown, and allows users to save those summaries directly to their own Notion workspace. The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using Y2Notion, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

5.1 Free and Pro tiers

Y2Notion offers a free tier with usage limits and a paid "Pro" tier with expanded usage.

5.2 Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly) through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method automatically each billing cycle.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide partial refunds for unused time unless required by applicable law.

5.4 Failed payments

If a payment fails, we may suspend Pro features until payment is resolved.

6. Third-Party Services

Y2Notion relies on third-party services to function, including:

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our IP

The Service, including its design, branding, and underlying code, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

7.2 Your content

You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as a YouTube URL) and the summaries generated for you. We do not claim ownership over generated summaries, but you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to process and store the underlying video content.

7.3 AI-generated content disclaimer

Summaries are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors. We make no warranty as to the completeness or correctness of any generated content. Always verify important information against the original source.

8. Notion Workspace Access

By connecting your Notion account, you grant Y2Notion permission to create pages and write content within the workspace locations you select. We only request the access necessary to provide this functionality. You may revoke this access at any time through your Notion integration settings, after which we will no longer be able to save content to your workspace.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Y2NOTION AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 9, 10, and 13) will continue to apply.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.
